04 · What determines the price?

Six factors that determine the final price of eternit.

By knowing them, you can assess which board is best for your project — and how to avoid overspending on additional accessories.

— Factor 01

Manufacturer and country of origin

Eternit Baltic (Lithuania) is on average 30–50% more expensive than Fibrodah (Ukraine), but in return offers up to a 30-year material warranty, a 5-year paint warranty on CurtCoat® models, and pre-cut corners on higher models. Fibrodah is suitable for price-sensitive outbuildings and production buildings.

— Factor 02

Plate size

Larger tiles are cheaper in €/m² terms — less overlap cost, fewer fasteners, faster installation. For a simple gable roof, Klasika or Agro is often 30% cheaper per square meter than Gotika.

— Factor 03

Painted vs. unpainted

Painted eternit costs 20–50% more. CurtCoat® coating protects the board from UV radiation and maintains the color for decades. The unpainted model makes sense for warehouses and production buildings or if you plan to paint the roof yourself.

— Factor 04

Color tone

Most colors are the same price (graphite, black, brown, brick red, dark red, green). Premium colors like cherry red on Klasika and Agro can be 1-2 € more expensive. The price difference is usually less than 10% and is reflected directly on the product page.

— Factor 05

Quantity and packaging

Tiles are sold in bulk — from 10 to 1000+ tiles. We offer affordable shipping to the site across Estonia. For larger projects (over 1000 tiles), a 3–8% project sales discount often applies — ask nordhauser@nordhauser.ee.

— Factor 06

Accessories and fasteners

The corrugated sheets themselves often only account for 60–70% of the total material cost of an eternit roof. Additional costs include ridge tiles, gable covers, S-edge covers, screws with EPDM seals, snow guards, roof ladders. We recommend allowing 20–30% for additional accessories and fasteners.

How much does a 100 m² Eternit roof cost?

Simple gable roof, 100 m² total area. We compare three painted brown Eternit Baltic models — we only count the tiles and screws. Ridge caps, gable covers, safety products (snow guard, roof ladder, roof bridge) and installation costs are added separately. Prices include VAT.

07 · Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the price of eternit before buying.

Price, models, delivery times, installation and warranty — the seven most frequently asked questions on one page.

01 How much does eternit cost per square meter?
The price of an Eternit board per square meter (raw material) in Estonia starts at €7.43 for unpainted Fibrodah Klassik and goes up to €18.88 for the painted Gotika model. On average, Eternit Klasika painted is suitable for most private homes — about €11.70/m² raw material price. The installation cost, including VAT, adds an average of €30/m², which makes the cost of the entire roof renovation in 2026 about €40–50/m² as a whole.
02 What is the difference between painted and unpainted eternit?
Unpainted eternit is a gray cement color and comes directly from the factory, while painted models have a UV-resistant coating applied at the factory (Eternit Baltic uses CurtCoat® technology). The color warranty for painted tiles is valid for 5 years, while unpainted tiles can be painted yourself with a special Eternit paint if desired — but this must be repeated every 8–12 years. The price difference between painted tiles and unpainted ones is 20–50% .
03 Is Lithuanian Eternit better than Ukrainian Eternit?
Lithuanian Eternit Baltic offers a 30-year material warranty (vs. Fibrodah 10 years), pre-cut corners and easier installation, but is 30–50% more expensive . Ukrainian Fibrodah is well suited for outbuildings, warehouses and projects where the budget is limited. For a long-term roof for a private house, we recommend Eternit Baltic. Full comparison → Lithuanian vs. Ukrainian Eternit .
04 Does the price of eternit include VAT?
Yes, all prices in the Nordhauser online store include 24% VAT .
05 How many tiles are needed for a 100 m² roof?
Depends on the model. For a 100 m² roof:
  • Gothic 585×920: 250 tiles
  • Villa 875×920: 154 tiles
  • Classic 1250×1130: 87 tiles
  • Agro 1750×1130: 60 tiles
  • Agro XL 2500×1130: 40 tiles
You can get an accurate calculation (including loss and reserve) using our roof calculator .
06 Is painted Fibrodah eternit in stock?
Currently (April 2026) painted Fibrodah Klassik and Renaissance are available for order, delivery time 2–3 weeks directly from the Ukrainian factory. Fibrodah Modern (painted, 625×1166 mm) and all unpainted Fibrodah sizes are in stock immediately. Painted variants are ordered directly at the customer's request — then a 2–3 week waiting period applies, but the manufacturer's warranty remains the same.
07 Can I order eternit with installation?
Nordhauser focuses on high-quality materials and recommends two independent installation partners: Lääne OÜ (Lääne-Virumaa and Ida-Virumaa) and Kimmeli Teenused OÜ (Southern Estonia). Both are familiar with Eternit Baltic and Fibrodah installation technology and can make a quote for your roofing project.
