What is Cedral Lap C18 Slate Grey, which belongs to the well-known Cedral product family. The colour code C18 denotes a dark slate grey shade that adds depth and character to the façade.
The material resembles real wood siding in appearance, but its composition is much more multilayered and durable. Fiber cement consists of cement, sand, cellulose and textile fibers, and water - ingredients that ensure the material's exceptional strength and weather resistance.
The woodgrain texture of the board is realistic and deep, giving the facade a vibrant, artisanal look. The slate grey shade C18 Slate Grey, which is well suited to modern and industrial house concepts.

Choice of installation method
Cedral Lap C18 Slate Grey, 30 mm overlap): Creates a traditional clapboard look with deep shadow lines. The facade looks restrained, textured and authentic.
The direction can be both horizontal (classic) and vertical (modern, optically lengthens the house).
Base frame and fastening
Before installing the siding, a base frame (rafter) must be prepared, which ensures a ventilated air gap of at least 20 mm between the facade and the wall structure.
The plank is attached to the base rafter using fastening screws . The screws must be stainless to prevent rust stains from forming on the surface of the plank.
Cutting and processing
Cedral Lap boards can be cut with a regular saw – an electric angle saw or a hand-held circular saw are suitable. Diamond-toothed blades are recommended.
To protect cut edges, C18 Slate Grey, which can be used to cover cut areas and minor damage caused during installation.
Accessories

The warranty is valid provided that the material is installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and that suitable fastening materials are used. The proper ventilation gap must also be ensured.
In practice, fiber cement boards have lasted 40–50 years when installed correctly – this has been shown by the experience of use in America and Western Europe, where fiber cement facade materials have been produced in various forms since the 1980s. The oldest boards in this material class are now over 40 years old.
